Grand World Phu Quoc is a free-to-enter, 85-hectare entertainment and shopping district on Bai Dai in the north of the island, open daily from about 6 am to midnight. What Grand World Phu Quoc actually is

Grand World is a planned leisure district inside the large Bai Dai resort area in the north-west of Phu Quoc. It covers about 85 hectares of streets designed in different styles: a canal quarter modelled on Venice, shophouse streets with Indochine and Shanghai themes, a contemporary art park and open squares used for parades and dance shows. Restaurants, cafés, bars, souvenir shops and convenience stores fill the ground floors.

It is busiest from late afternoon to late evening, when the lights come on and the free street shows run. During the day it is quiet and hot, which suits families who want to wander without crowds. If you want to see where it sits in relation to the casino, the theme park and the beach, our location guide has a map and a distance table.

Opening hours, entry and ticket prices

Walking around Grand World costs nothing; there is no gate ticket. The district is listed as open from 6 am to 11:59 pm, and some listings simply say it is open around the clock. These are the paid extras, with prices from ticket listings updated in October 2026:

The shows worth planning around

Quintessence of Vietnam

The big evening show is the one paid performance most visitors plan their night around. It tells the story of Vietnam’s history and folk culture with a large cast, music and lighting, and runs for roughly 45 to 60 minutes from about 8:30 pm. Short daytime versions, parades and ceremonies are free and are spread from the morning onwards; afternoon times changed in 2026, so check the schedule on the day.

Colors of Venice

A free light and water performance along the canal, listed from 8 pm to 8:45 pm. It overlaps with the start of the main paid show, so most families pick one or the other on a given night, or come back a second evening.

Street shows and the night market

Dance performances on the main square start from around 3:30 pm, and the night-market streets are liveliest between 7 pm and 10 pm. Both are free.

The Bamboo Legend and the Teddy Bear Museum

The Bamboo Legend is a giant pavilion made of bamboo, described by its builders as the largest artistic bamboo structure in Vietnam. It is free to visit and at its most photogenic at dusk, when it is lit from inside. The Teddy Bear Museum, at the other end of the price scale, holds about 500 handmade bears across more than 20 themed rooms, with a 15-metre bear at the entrance; small children love it, adults tend to give it 30 minutes.

Getting to Grand World from Radisson Blu

Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc is about 0.9 km from Grand World by the resort’s own factsheet. You have three easy options:

HowTimeGood for
Resort buggyAbout 5 minMidday heat, children, the trip back after a late show
On foot15–20 minLate afternoon, when it is cooler
Grab or taxiA few minutesRain, or when the buggy is busy

Coming from further away, VinBus runs to the Grand World bus park from the airport and Duong Dong roughly every 15 minutes. From the southern resorts it is a long ride; a taxi from An Thoi takes about an hour.

A simple evening plan

5 pm: buggy or walk over while it is still light; photos at the Bamboo Legend. 6 pm: early dinner in one of the canal-side restaurants. 7 pm: gondola on the canal as the lamps come on. 8 pm: Colors of Venice, or take your seats for the 8:30 pm Quintessence show. 9:30 pm: back to the resort before the crowd leaves at once. In peak season (November to April) and on public holidays, arrive by about 5:30 pm.

Honest noteGrand World is fun for an evening or two, but it is a themed district built recently, with chain shops and replica streets. If you want local Vietnamese life and street food, the Duong Dong night market is the better evening, about 17 km south. And when the main show ends, taxis and buses get busy for 20–30 minutes; staying next door means you can simply walk back.
Shows end around 9:30 pm

Skip the taxi queue after the show.

From Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc the walk back is 15–20 minutes, or five by buggy, with a lagoon pool waiting the next morning.

Questions about Grand World Phu Quoc

Is Grand World Phu Quoc free?

Yes, entry to Grand World Phu Quoc is free and there is no gate ticket. You pay only for extras such as the Quintessence of Vietnam night show, the gondola on the canal and the Teddy Bear Museum. Street shows, the Bamboo Legend, the art park and walking around the canal and the night market cost nothing.

What time does the Quintessence of Vietnam show start?

The main paid show starts at about 8:30 pm and runs for 45 to 60 minutes. Free shorter performances and parades run from the morning, but their afternoon times changed in 2026, so check the schedule board or the operator’s app on the day. In peak season, arrive by 5:30 pm to settle in before the evening crowds.

How far is Grand World from Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc?

About 0.9 km. The resort buggy takes around five minutes, walking takes 15 to 20 minutes, and a Grab takes only a few minutes. That makes Radisson Blu one of the closest beach resorts to Grand World, which matters most after the evening shows, when taxis are in short supply.

Is Grand World worth visiting with children?

Yes, for an evening. Children under 100 cm enter the paid attractions free, the street shows and the canal are easy to enjoy without tickets, and the Teddy Bear Museum suits younger children. Go in the late afternoon rather than at noon, keep the plan to three or four hours, and leave before the post-show rush.

Can I visit Grand World during the day?

You can, and it is quiet, but the district is designed for the evening, when the lights, the free shows and the night market are on. In the day there is little shade, so combine a daytime visit with a museum or a café stop and come back at dusk for the atmosphere.
