Getting there, and getting around

Two-lane coastal road through tropical greenery on Phu Quoc in late-afternoon light

31 km · 40–50 min

From the airport

The drive runs north from Phu Quoc International Airport past Duong Dong to Ganh Dau. A Grab or metered taxi is the simplest option, at roughly USD 18–22 by route-planner estimates (October 2026). The resort arranges private cars if you ask when you book, and some packages include a shared transfer on a fixed timetable.

Best if you land late or travel with children and luggage: take a taxi or the resort car. Less ideal if you want the cheapest option — VinBus from the airport to Grand World costs about USD 2 but takes over an hour.

0.9–4.4 km

Grand World, VinWonders and the Safari

Grand World, the canal-side shopping and show district, is close enough to walk in 15–20 minutes, or 5 minutes by the resort buggy. VinWonders and Vinpearl Safari are 10–12 minutes by car, and VinBus routes leave from the Grand World bus park.

Best if you want evening entertainment and theme parks without a long drive. Less ideal if you expect a traditional Vietnamese town — Grand World is a purpose-built entertainment district.

17–45 km

Duong Dong and the south

Duong Dong town and its night market are about 30 minutes south; the resort’s factsheet lists a shuttle bus to the night market, so ask at the front desk for the times. Sunset Town, the Hon Thom cable car and Sao Beach are at the southern tip, 50–60 minutes by car.

Best if you plan one or two full-day trips south. Less ideal if you want to pop into town for dinner every night.

Getting around from Radisson Blu Phu Quoc

01

Take the buggy at midday

The walk to Grand World is easy in the evening but hot at noon. Ask the front desk for the resort buggy instead.

02

Leave the shows a little early

Taxis and Grab cars get scarce the moment the evening shows end. Leaving 15 minutes early, or waiting 20, saves a long queue.

03

Allow 50 minutes for the airport

The drive takes 40–50 minutes in normal traffic. For an international flight, leave the resort two and a half hours before departure.

Honest note

This is the far north of the island. If you want to stroll out to local restaurants and bars, you will rely on taxis: Duong Dong is about 17 km away and the southern beaches about 45 km.

Questions about the location of Radisson Blu Phu Quoc

What is the address of Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc?

The resort gives its address as Bai Dai Area, Ganh Dau, Phu Quoc. Since July 2025 Phu Quoc has been a special zone of An Giang province, so newer listings say An Giang where older ones say Kien Giang; both mean the same resort on the north-west coast. Drivers know it by name, and a map pin avoids any mix-up with hotels in Duong Dong.

Is Radisson Blu Phu Quoc part of Vinpearl or Grand World?

No. It is a separate resort managed by Radisson Hotel Group, but it stands in the same northern leisure district as Corona Casino, Grand World, VinWonders and the Vinpearl resorts. That is why it is so close to them, and why some maps draw it inside the district boundary.

Is there a bus from Radisson Blu Phu Quoc to the airport?

Not from the resort door. VinBus runs from the Grand World bus park, under 1 km away, towards the airport and Duong Dong about every 15 minutes, for about USD 2 by route-planner estimates (October 2026). The trip takes about an hour, so it suits light travellers; with children or big suitcases a taxi is much faster.

How far is Radisson Blu Phu Quoc from Sunset Town and the Hon Thom cable car?

About 45 km, or 50–60 minutes by car, at the southern tip of the island in An Thoi. A taxi costs roughly USD 25–30 each way by route-planner estimates (October 2026). Most guests make it a full day: the cable car in the afternoon, Sunset Town for the evening, then a taxi back.

Can I walk to a shop or pharmacy from Radisson Blu Phu Quoc?

Yes, in Grand World, under 1 km away, which has shops, cafés and convenience stores open into the evening. The resort itself has a gift shop and an ATM, and the front desk changes money. For medical care, Vinmec International Hospital is in the same northern district.

Is Ganh Dau a good base for seeing Phu Quoc?

It is a good base for the north — the parks, the Safari, the starfish beach at Rach Vem and the quiet Ganh Dau cape — and a long way from the south. If half your plans are at Sao Beach, Sunset Town or the Hon Thom cable car, split your stay or budget for 50–60 minute drives each way.
